Do not make unachievable and tall claims
There are many SEO service providers saying that they promise sure shot increase in sales and so on, but it is a hoax as that never happens and they end up with a bad reputation.

Tell your client how you will use SEO and promote them, and how when people search a particular related competitive word their products or brand will feature and thus garner many visitors. This will provide them with a wider audience and thus more sales.
And finally when you have the project on hand!! Work hard and provide genuine services to the client while hoping to build a long term relation which is professionally fulfilling and based on trust and excellence.
