What should be the Exact Length of your Webpage or Blog Post?

Category: On Page SEO & Optimization | On Page SEO & Optimization | On Page SEO & Optimization | On Page SEO & Optimization Posted by Maria
In simple words this query can be answered as, the exact length of your webpage or blog post depends on how much you have to convey through your webpage or blog as well as purpose of the page or blog. It is possible to have a long or short page as per your requirement. There are many websites which have long pages but little content and more of images. Still they are able to rank first.

content length SEO

Content is the ruler of search engine optimisation. An effort to keep it simple, easy to understand and informative should be made. SEO company feel that ideally a 200-300 words long page should be enough. However if you have something more to say which will need more words to express then you can definitely extend the page.

Also a long page has more scope to implement SEO which will give you a better ranking. It will give you an opportunity to add other features like dividing the content into different paragraphs which can again be given sub headings consisting of the main keywords. Then in other part of the writing you can use bullets to highlight the points. Bullets are very much liked by search engines and will also facilitate better understanding for the readers. Few relevant inbound links containing the main keywords can also be used in longer text.

While a longer page has many benefits for you it is necessary to make sure you actually have something important on your page for the visitor. Just don’t make long pages for the purpose of SEO but make sure that the page will be helpful to your ultimate customer who will make your site Rock. If your site content is really good and has something important for your customers then you will definitely have repeat customers which will ultimately lead to increase in traffic. More satisfied customer means more traffic.
