A SEO Company Prefers Static Website Over Dynamic Website
Categories:
SEO News & FAQ
--
Admin
@ 00:52
We often hear of dynamic and static websites but there are very few people who can actually judge the difference between these two. Most evident difference between the two for a
SEO consultant
is that dynamic site uses PHP or Javascript while static site uses HTML. A large number of sites on the Internet prefer to make their sites dynamic because they are easy to implement any changes in the website pages.
If you think of
SEO
then undoubtedly static URL will be the best because they are liked by the search engines. However static websites are difficult to edit to implement any changes. This makes the job very tiring and frustrating especially when there is a big site for it seems virtually impossible to open each page of the site and refer to its coding. While in dynamic site
implementing the changes is no big deal. You can do the changes on only one master page and it will be carried to other web pages.
When dynamic URLS have a positive side the biggest downside of them is that they are disliked by search engines. They are usually seen in e-commerce stores, sites using content management systems for content generation, forums and blogs like WordPress or Mambo or any other site which uses database. Dynamic URLS generally use “?” while a static URL uses title of a post separated with hyphen “-”.
They look something like this:
Dynamic URL: http://www.blueunplugged.com/p.aspx?p=139587
Static URL: http://www.varologic.com/SEO-SEM.aspx
Though static website is difficult to change but when it comes to search engine optimisation they undoubtedly win the battle over dynamic website. Static pages get indexed quickly and are a good source of driving people to the site. The main reason for this is that static website has a part of the page title in the URL. This gives an idea to the people of what they can expect to see in the page. If they find them interesting they will click through. But for dynamic URLS what you can find in the page cannot be judged.

Why is it Important to Rank in Country Specific Search Engines
Categories:
Search Engines
--
Admin
@ 00:13
Internet is a huge collection of the various sources of information. The job of the search engines is to give the users the most relevant results when a search term is entered into the search box. The technique used to make a site the most relevant so that it displays in the first few pages of SERP is called
search engines optimisation
.
A big point to note here is the world is very large and comprises of different countries speaking different languages and following different culture. This makes it important to have more than one search engine which can be specific to each country and give the most relevant results.
Just imagine a situation where Chinese receive information in Hindi. Of course it will be of no use to them and so search engines make no sense to them. One more usefulness of country specific search engines is the results are not only relevant but also language specific. Hence it is
important to rank in country specific search engines
.
The irony of
SEO
is it is never certain what efforts can get you to the first page. Often it might happen you have all the things needed for a good ranking in place but still your site ranking is not improved. One reason for this can be your site hosting. It is quite possible that you wish to rank for a particular country while your site would be hosted on some other country.
Search engines can determine the nationality of a website based on the IP address as well as the domain extensions like .co.uk or .com.au. For example if you have a site with .co.uk and wish to rank good in Google in USA then this might not be quite possible. However if you shift your host from UK to USA your chances to rank become brighter. Different tools can be used to know the nationality of a site and do the optimisation accordingly.

Spider’s Eye is Important for a SEO Company to Rank High
Categories:
SEO News & FAQ
--
Admin
@ 00:30
Spider in the Internet world is an attribute given to the search engine robots which go through each site’s content and links before assigning a rank to it. Two main search engine spiders are Googlebot and Yahoo!Slurp. Spiders are programmed by humans and lack the ability to grasp in anything else but content. Hence
Spider’s eye is important for a SEO company to rank high
. A
SEO company
has better chances to rank higher if it optimises a website from the Spiders point of view.
Experts are trying to make the search engine spiders as efficient as a human but this will take quite a long time. For the time being it should be remembered that the spiders dislike images, flash animations, video and audio effects but humans like them the most. When you wish to have all these special effects on your website you need to ask one question what is the use of these effects if your site will not rank on the SERP which is the main place from where people will find your website. For better
SEO
it is better to avoid these.
But still if you wish to have these special effects then there are different SEO techniques which can make them search engine friendly and boost your site ranking. All the images on the site can be supported with the ALT tag. You can use a combination of keywords to fill in this tag. But make sure they do not look like keyword stuffing. In case of Flash animations ALT can be used to put in a small description about the product.
Links are important for ranking a website high on the search engines and this is the place where you can get cheated by others who put javascript links on your website. Such links are not visible to the search engines and so are not useful to boost your ranking. Different tools can be used to find such links and remove them.

Should SEO Company Optimize for Yahoo!, Former Search Engine to Google
Categories:
Search Engines
--
Admin
@ 01:00
Many might not be aware that Yahoo! existed much before than even Google was introduced to the Internet world which soon gained popularity as it delivered more accurate results. Today Google occupies 75-80 percent of market and the remaining 20-25% is shared by other less popular search engines. This makes the answer to
should SEO Company optimize for Yahoo!, former search engine to Google
quite clear. No
SEO company
can ignore the scope of ranking higher on other search engines.
It is not an easy task for a
SEO services
provider to optimize a single website for different types of search engines because all the search engines have peculiar parameters to ranking a website. Many times it happens when a SEO tries to rank a site higher on Google it loses ranking on Yahoo! To avoid such situations it becomes imperative to find a mid way.
Yahoo! is no different from other search engines in the way it works. It also uses spiders to scroll through the sites content to decide upon the relevancy. Three major differences between Yahoo! and Google is that Yahoobot is much faster than Googlebot and the sandbox period is shorter for Yahoo! Also Yahoo! places more emphasis on onpage optimisation tactics while for Google backlinks are more important. Since Yahoo! is first a directory and then a search engine a site registered with it stands better chances of ranking.
However when we think of optimizing a site particularly for Yahoo! it is more advisable to keep in mind the on page optimisation factors like the keyword use and optimisation and content. Unlike Google Yahoo! places more emphasis on keywords and using more of them will not get you banned. But beware the same can get you easily banned on Google. Whether to optimize a site for Google or Yahoo! depends on the keywords you wish to target.

Google Sandbox, What is it and How to Get Out of it Quickly
Categories:
Google News
--
Admin
@ 02:31
For a
SEO company
it is quite easy to throw some light on Google Sandbox, what is it and how to get out of it quickly. It is not uncommon to see a sandbox on a beach where small children have their part of fun at the beach. Google sandbox is based on a similar concept where Google acts as a big beach and has a sandbox for the new sites to play while they get the grip on how Internet works for them and when they mature enough Google brings them out of the Sandbox effect to explore the world of Internet.
When we think of
SEO
we understand it is a set of techniques used to increase the ranking of a site. But when these techniques are manipulated or wrongly used by any company Google has the power to throw them in the Sandbox. The site stays here for some time until it undoes whatever wrong done earlier.
Google Sandbox period if taken positively and used in the best way can be a golden period for a new site as it gets the opportunity to prepare itself to best fight the online battle of ranking top. The SEO can utilize this time to empower the site with the various top ranking elements. This might help the site to do well the moment it is out of the Google sandbox. Here are a few things you can do while you are in Sandbox:
• Start adding new content to your site after all content is king and the best place to add keywords
• Collect good links to your site from good relevant sources. Directory and article submission is a good way to go.
• Instead of launching a site when it is complete it is a better idea to launch first few pages and gradually add others as time passes in the Sandbox.
• If you do not want to wait long in any case then buy old or expired domains.

What is robots.txt File and How to Best Use it For Your Benefit?
Categories:
On Page SEO & Optimization
--
Admin
@ 02:47
Duplicate content is a big threat to a
SEO company
as it can affect the ranking of a site but in certain cases it becomes necessary to put up such content on the site especially when you want to provide the printable version of a particular page to the viewers. You might be thinking if there is a way to avoid the search engines from indexing a page and the answer is the robots.txt HTML code.
What is robots.txt File and How to Best Use it For Your Benefit?
For those who are new to
SEO
when the robot.txt file command appears before a page it instructs the search engines to stay away from that page. This command is especially useful when there are same pages on the site or some sensitive data which you do not want to be public. Images, javascript and stylesheets can be excluded from indexing using this command this will also save on bandwidth.
It should be understood that robots.txt is a mere instruction for the search engines and it will be very foolish if you use it for sensitive data. If in case the search engines are not able to locate the robots file then there are all possibilities that the data is indexed by them. So it is better to use a combination of methods for protecting sensitive data.
It should be known that the search engines do not search the whole site to find the robots.txt file but the main directory located here www.mysite.com/robots.txt. The robots.txt should be located in the main directory for the search engines to find it and do not index the files you do not want to be indexed. If it is not so placed then you cannot blame the search engines for indexing all the pages.

Why does a SEO Company Feel Important to Stay Away from Bad Neighbor
Categories:
Google Penalty
--
Admin
@ 02:20
We have often heard our elders telling us to stay away from bad people or else we might get influenced by them which may affect our reputation and personal life. But
why does a SEO company feel important to stay away from bad neighbor?
The answer is quite clear it is because when a well ranking site unknowingly links with a bad site it affects the sites ranking and no
SEO company
would like to see its efforts wasted due to some other site.
No
SEO services
provider can deny links are the crucial steps one needs to climb to successfully reach the goal of high ranking. Different methods can be used for building links and one has to be careful while doing this as it is this process when the site can get connected to a bad neighbor. The effect of bad neighbors is seen in both inbound and outbound links and the disastrous among them are the outbound links to bad neighbors.
It is quite possible a site might not be bad when you link to it but it can become bad later when it indulges in such practices. There are different reasons for which a site can be titled as bad. Some of these can be listed as below:
• Repeating the keywords many times in the same page
• When the content is not original or copied from some other site
• Hiding text by coloring them in White or using small font print
• The site gets strangled in any copyright violations
• It uses machine generated pages
This might keep you worrying as to how do you know if a site is good or bad? There hundreds of sites using wrong methods to increase their ranking. You can refer to a list of blacklisted sites. Also you can check if a site is indexed or not by using “site:www.site.com” attribute in Google.

Categories:
SEO Mistakes
--
Admin
@ 03:59
Flash is the best way to add animation to a website to give it a beautiful and different look. For a
SEO company
a Flash site is the biggest nightmare. The reason is quite simple the search engines are not humans and do not understand Flash animation hence it is not search engine friendly and a lot of efforts are required to make a Flash site search engine friendly. But still optimizing a Flash site is not impossible.
It would be quite easy to guess that the best way to optimize a Flash site would be to add supporting text so that the search engines can understand what the Flash animation is all about. This might sound very easy but only a
SEO services
provider can know better how difficult and frustrating it is. Here a
SEO Company Reveals How Best to do Flash Site Optimisation?
• Often we ignore metadata believing it is less important for increasing the ranking of a site. However for a Flash site it is important to fill in the Meta data.
• The Flash content should also be presented in HTML format this will not only help the search engines but also the viewers. These pages will definitely need some extra work but the reward will be worthy.
• You can use tool to extract data from a Flash file onto a HTML. swf2html is one of the best tools and makes your job very easy. It will find the content and the links from the Flash file and write it in HTML. However you need to go through the content extracted to avoid any errors and duplicate content.
• You can also use tools which can show you what is visible to the search engines. This will make clear what you need to work on.

SEO Techniques Which Can Get You Banned
Categories:
Google Penalty
--
Admin
@ 23:41
Google has its own parameters for punishing a website when it manipulates the Google algorithms for ranking a site. It is not that Google loves to punish you but a system to prevent the bad
SEO
practitioners from taking the advantage of using short cuts or better say bad SEO techniques.
Being punished by Google is the biggest nightmare any
SEO company
can have as it affects the reputation of the company and also it is very difficult to handle dissatisfied clients. Clients who pay thousands of rupees for SEO heat up the flame when they are unable to find their site on the Google ranking page.
The process of punishing a site by Google is called banning or penalizing and when this happens Google will not tell you it has banned your site. Your site is said to be banned when there is a sudden fall in the rankings or when the site ranking automatically becomes zero.
The reason to why Google penalizes a site is quite simple. When you do something that is disliked by Google you can be banned. As we all know anything over done looks shabby similarly when a site is over optimized search engines become suspicious about it. Please note over optimization here refers to onsite optimisation.
Some of the SEO techniques which can get you banned by Google can be listed as follows:
• Use of keywords above the 3-4% specified limit
• Hosting irrelevant content just for the sake of keyword stuffing
• Prepare two different pages one for the viewers and the other for the search engines
• Using hidden text like coloring the text in White or using very small font
• Using the same domain for multiple pages
• Creating a number of sites and inter linking them
• Buying links from link farms
• Linking to bad sites meaning sites with poor reputation and content
