Asus announced the launch of its Asus Eee pad Transformer which can act both as a laptop and as a tablet. As the name implies the Eee pad can transform itself into a laptop or tablet with a detachable display screen. The device is stylish,solid yet light weight (680 gms) , has a tactile design pattern on the shell to ensure your hands a firm grip and avoid slipping.

The cool gadget runs Android Honeycomb 3.0 and is based on nVidia Tegra 2.0 platform. The specs of this transformer Eee pad are preety impressive - Asus Waveshare UI, 10.1 inch IPS Touch screen display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 px WSVGA, a 5 MP rear camera and 1.2 MP front facing camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, mini HDMI connectors, a card reader, 2 USB ports and 10.2 Flash support.

The tablet allows usage about 8 hours while docked yet another 8 hours, pretty cool huh..!! The tablet is available in two variants, the 16GB variant costs $550 whilst the 32GB $750.
