Samsung continues to surprise everyone with its rapid technological advancements and innovative strides. This time, Samsung has come up with new set of media processors for Digital Photo Frames that can help display 15 megapixel JPEG images in just a matter of time(less than 3 seconds).
Named as Samsung S5L2010 series, they are cost-effective; high performance processors that enables DPF developers to deliver exceptional multimedia functionality which in turn assures outstanding photo and video viewing experience.
The processors can read embedded NAND, JPEG decoding, scaling and drawing to the LCD- faster than any other product in the market with the DPFs also capable of quickly and efficiently decoding video and audio in a variety of multimedia formats including MPEG-1/2/4, Xvid, Motion JPEG, MP3, WMA, OGG and AAC.
These Samsung new processors also features an ADC for touch screen control, SLC/ MLC NAND booting, built-in RTC, a LED PWM driver for the LCD backlight, an audio PWM 2 channel output, TV-Out, and DVB-T interface which reduces bill-of-material costs. Housed in a flat package, the Samsung's S5L2010 media processors will be in mass production in the first quarter of 2009.
