Nokia
has got into an agreement with Nuance Communications, a well known provider of
speech and predictive text solutions for engendering innovative mobile speech
and predictive text capabilities in a broad range of Nokia mobile devices
worldwide.
The
multi-year agreement set up a strategic collaboration to progress an open
integration framework for advanced input technologies for cultivating
innovation in the broader mobile developer ecosystem.
Nokia
will be leveraging Nuance's mobile input solutions to offer users a novel class
of intuitive mobile user interface improvising the access to the variety of
mobile applications and services. An agreement also aims to bring in
efficiency, convenience, safety, and induced consumer experience. Additionally,
Nuance and Nokia will collaborate on open protocols allowing both the partners
to leverage and widen advanced multi-modal features, applications and consumer
experiences on Nokia devices.

technology, but that also meet the consumer’s need for innovative, easy-to-use
solutions,” said Lee Williams, Senior Vice President, Nokia.

that brings the mobile industry together in developing next-generation mobile
solutions," said Steve Chambers, president of the Mobile and Consumer Services division at
Nuance.
Nokia agreement with Nuance for leveraging their broad
portfolio of mobile input solutions and to open up a framework for industry
collaboration will ultimately pass on the advantage to customers in the form of
predictive text and speech software solutions and extended mobile applications
and services.
