    Garmin has got into an amphibian GPS device called GPS GPSMAP 640. The new GPS navigation system works equivalently well on land and sea. This extends the 600 series of Garmin corresponding a completely breakthrough product line. The hybrid marine and auto navigator is sturdy enough to withstand the rugged elements with its tough form factor, and also consist waterproof (IPX7) housing boasting following features:

    • Technology - Worldwide shaded relief mapping

             1.      Optional BlueChart g2 Vision technology for 3-D “mariner’s eye view”.

             3.      Support for XM WX Satellite Weather.

    A mega portable and rough and tough touchscreen navigator comes preloaded with a comprehensive set of street maps and marine charts, North America maps included. You shouldn’t be hesitant to shell out £ 685 if you travel around world frequently exploring the seven seas; however you have to wait till first quarter of 2009.
