Most of us download songs from the web by infringing the copyright rules as we love doing it on a free basis. To avoid you from doing the same, SanDisk has announced its new initiative namely slotMusic in partnership with major retailers.

    SanDisk SD Card

The 1GB slotMusic cards will come preloaded with music from a varied group of artists promoted by EMI Music, Sony BMG, Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group. It is mainly targeted at mobile phones as you will be able to buy and listen music without requiring sideloading to your device using your computer at your home.

The slotMusic is compatible with Windows, Linux as well as Mac. What’s more these cards are very well expected to replace CDs as a popular format for music storage. On the price front and release date SanDisk still hasn’t made any comments. After all it’s worth waiting for free copyrighted music, isn’t it?
