Garmin, the frontrunner in satellite navigation just announced its first multi-use nuvi portable navigation device (PND) viz nuvi 500. The people living in UK will now be able to enjoy the benefits of this new naviagtion sysytem regardless of whether they are driving, cycling, walking or may be even boating.

The nuvi 500 series comes equipped with the latest technology from Garmin including NavTeq sophisticated mapping data and the ability to accept different types of mapping including TOPO for outdoor navigation and Blue Chart cartography for marine usage. The excellent nuvi 500 comes with an impressive ste of following aspects:

The nuvi 500 and 550 will be out in Europe with pre-loaded country-specific City Navigator NT Map Data for the 500 and full European City Navigator NT Map Data for the 550. The nuvi 550 will most probably hit the UK markets this September for £299 indeed!
