Well here is great news for all those who thought that the Ultrsone’s edition 9 bluetooth headphones was a bit expensive. Every reason to get excited indeed as this time round Ultrasone has come up with the far cheaper Pro 900 phones, which promises to block just as much of that pesky radiation for the low price of $600.

What’s more along with the perpetual endeavour on curbing radiation leakage part, the company has not compromised on the sound quality too as the Pro 900s boasts of a 6-42k Hz frequency range, 40 Ohm impedance, a sound pressure level of 96dB, and a 40mm titanium-plated driver at the heart of each can. Also you will get interchangeable spiral and straight cables, and a hard carrying case to protect your new prized possession.

We heard the YP-Q1 was being concocted, which is now ready to be served as per confirmation made by Samsung, along with a followup to the U3 thumbDAP, the previously rumoured YP-U4. The U4 leverage a few design cues from Samsung's TV lineup, but while it's certainly sexier than the previous generation. It looks a bit frumpy given the a bit greyish OLED screen and stingy 2GB and 4GB capacities.

Samsung Mobile phones

The players boast 16 hours of playback, DNSe 2.0, and come in rose, purple and blue flavours. Meanwhile, the Q1 (pictured) seems to be frump grown up, with a 2.4-inch QVGA LCD and those ostensible 4, 8 and 16GB capacities. Samsung is also touting its DNSe 3.0 in the new player, which can "upconvert" audio to improve quality supposedly.

You can get one in October in black, white or silver, while the U4 (pictured after the break) should be shipping nowise.

According to Sony Ericsson’s product launch table, the Xperia X1 phone will not see sunshine until February 10th 2009. Notice that the date given in European format was actually October 2, 2009. To guilty is the software, specifically Windows Mobile 6.1 (or perhaps SE's implementation of it), which appeared to be actively destroying the display units Sony has on display at IFA.

Xperia X1

Out of the three devices, one had some green status lights, one didn't work at all, and one turned on briefly, only to crash hard and never return again.

X1 could be a strong contender to give competition to the iPhone and have potential to capture some of its market share, but only if Sony Ericsson made it well in time before iPhone goes 3G.

4GB for $65,

8GB for $110 and

16GB for whopping $180 when these come in October.

It is always stigmatise whenever your cell phone runs out of fuel while you is busy catching up with a friend over some juicy gossip. Good thing there are devices like the One Battery Mobile Charger Pen that accommodates a slot for you to insert an AA battery inside, and you can charge your phone in 100 minutes, which should offer more than enough fuel during an emergency.

There are 5 tips in total that accompanies this $19 device to cater for different cell phone manufacturers. I'd say go solar, or at least purchase a rechargeable battery to go along with this. Surely one of the handy mobile accessories indeed!

Navigon is renowned name in the field of GPS navigation systems, and this company has rolled back the venerable 7100 model, replacing it instead with the 7200T. This successor will retain Navigon's free, real-time traffic as well as core features of it's predecessor, will yield better user interface as well for greater ease-of-use.

navigon 7200T gps

This device is very stylish and sleekly designed. There are many impressive features with this unit. For a start, it has Reality View Pro which means that the signs are all in photo realistic 3D. It also offers free real-time traffic updates for life, therefore allowing the user to avoid congestion on the roads and provides an alternative route. Voice destination entry uses advanced voice recognition to allow the driver to speak the address, which is a lot safer.

It features

  • A frameless, 4.3inch touch screen display.
  • 64MB of RAM,
  • 2GB flash storage,
  • A SiRF GRF3i+ GPS chip
  • MicroSD card support.

The 7200T comes with Bluetooth for hands free communication. It also has direct help, giving the user instant directions and contact information to nearby avenues.

It is said to be on sale as from October 2008, and will be around $449.

It's hard to say when we, the consumers, will actually see any real benefit from the latest noteworthy discovery from Northeastern University, but we can only imagine that Srinivas Sridhar and team aren't wasting any time moving things forward. Said crew has recently created a "new microlens that focuses infrared light at telecommunication frequencies," and if you're looking for specifics, it can focus an infrared beam to a spot just 12-micrometers away from the surface. The science behind the discovery is probably only digestible by those that understand rocket science, but the long of short of it is this: the "research shows that it is possible to create smaller, ultra-compact infrared optical components that can be integrated into existing semiconductor technologies while not sacrificing image quality." Now that's something even the layman can appreciate

Garmin has been commendable in GPS systems and now the behemoth expands its GPS line up by adding a Series 7 to it. The design is suggestive of the successful Nuvi series and Nuvi 785T is the most feature-packed of all as it comes a lifetime subscription to traffic alerts.

Garmin 7 Series

What’s more the 7x5 series units will pick up lane assist, a new feature that tells drivers exactly which lane to hop in as they drive, taking the guesswork out of complex multi-lane highways and intersections. The higher end 7x5 series only picks up Bluetooth on the 765T model. The 775T adds European maps, and the 785T adds an MSN Direct receiver for fuel prices, weather reports, movie listings, headline news, stock quotes and local events.

A 480x272 pixels touch-display gives Garmin GPS an enhanced visual interface with 3D rendering making the job much easier indeed!

The most expensive model will cost $700 but depending on your needs, there are more affordable ones.

Motorola doesn’t sounds pretty good at keeping secrets. This happens quite intermittently. The latest leak involves the Motorola i776 that will be available from Target.

Target has revealed the complete product page for Boost’s Motorola i776. The page claims the phone to be available in stores (not available online) but we are not sure if you will actually find one somewhere as Boost hasn’t officially announced the phone yet.

Motorola i776

The mobile community welcomed the RAZR and ROKR designs by Motorola but it’s unsure if you really will appreciate an old-school stub antenna in Motorola i776. The addition of antenna will be definitely reckoned by the buyers to pause for a while.

The phone targets the mid-range market but the antenna will surely force buyers to think twice before they invest their money on it. This prepaid handset is expected to be accompanied by:

  • Built-in GPS receiver
  • 3.5 hours of talk time and 84 hours of Standby Time
  • 600 contact capacity
  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • Doubles up as wireless modem via miniUSB

No idea on how much this traditional remix handset will cost.

iPod nano 4G has been rumoured to be unveiled on September 9. Apple will be introducing product updates on that date, with the rumored iPod nano 4G being revealed on that day as well. So If you really want to check the odds and even of the the fourth generation ipod nano, set an alarm for September 9. In this context the significance of ipod accessories keeps on augmenting indeed!

apple icon

Digg founder Kevin Rose claims that a tall iPod nano is in the works, featuring not only a tall screen ratio but a heavily redesigned shell. The venerable click wheel will remain, but the form factor as you can see here is rather...surprising. The” love it or hate it" affair sets really in dilemma if the next nano were to look like that. I suppose it will take some time to adapt to, but what's more important is the innards of the nano 4G. nano 4G is expected to be aggressively priced to distant itself from the $199 iPhone as much as possible, so this would indicate iPhone sales cannibalizing iPod nano figures. Would you be upgrading your nano to the latest version when it is released?
