Nokia has gone ahead and unveiled it’s Nseries multimedia smartphone viz Nokia N96 in India striving to prove the axiom “It's all about first movers advantage” as true. N96 is a perfect blend of style and cutting edge technology with excellent access to web and entertainment applications. The smartphone makes way in India before the much hyped apple iphone 3g in India.

What’s more Nokia N96 is the first ever mobile device to offer a memory size of 16GB expandable to 24 GB through an external micro SD card, allowing consumers to store up to 18000 songs, up to 20000 images at 5 megapixel, up to 60 hours of video or 20 full length movies. Apple iPhone, the touchscreen handset that seems to have captivated the US techno-savvies and other western countries in its first phase launch is going to dazzle gizmo freaks of 20 more countries in the second phase of its international iPhone 3G rollout on August 22nd.

SingTel has announced to launch the iPhone 3G in Singapore. Bharti Airtel and Vodafone to launch iPhone in India, EMT will be catering to Estonia’s, and Telefonica to the Czech Republic’s 

Orange will be the exclusive provider of the Apple handset in Romania and plans to offer customers the "full iPhone 3G experience." Globe Telecom to bring iPhone 3G to the Philippines alongside special prepaid and post paid plans. In Hungary’s largest wireless carrier T-Mobile to launch it nationwide

Leading cell phone makers like Nokia, Motorola and Samsung have stepped up their R&D efforts to bring feature-rich phones to compete with iPhone.
