What Effect HTML 5 Will Have on SEO and SEO Experts?

18 Dec, 2009
HTML 5 is nearing its introduction to the computer languages world. It is not going to be a revolutionary change but definitely it will be something more advanced then HTML 4. HTML 5 is basically for the web designers and developers but there is no harm if a SEO company introduces its SEO experts to it "knowledge gained is always useful but never a waste".

At first HTML 5 might look completely different and more complex but actually it is just an advancement of HTML 4 and has more and better use to tags. Here we shall discuss What Effect HTML 5 Will Have on SEO and SEO Experts? One thing is for sure HTML 5 will affect SEO but in a positive manner. In fact it will be more useful to the SEO services providers who love to use advanced things for better SEO.

Being a SEO expert it is obvious that you will be more interested in those tags which relate to your work. There is no reason not to believe that search engines are using page segmentation that is different parts of a page for giving a page rank. Up till now SEO experts do not have any alternative to manipulate the use of page segmentation by search engines. But HTML 5 is sure to give them this opportunity.

The "article" tag as the name suggests will be helpful to mark separate entries on a single page. It will definitely clear the clutter of using the "div" tag.  Also there are all possible chances that the content in the "article" tag will gain more importance from the search engines.

Similar to article tag, section tag will be useful to make clear the different sections of a page. The plus point is each section can have an individual title. For here also we can predict that the content in the section tag will gain more importance.

The header tag will be very important from SEO point of view. It is a tag different from the head tag and will give more flexibility. The SEO experts will be able to include long paragraphs of text, hard-coded links, and any other relevant information which can boost the ranking of a page.

Contradict to the header tag is the footer tag which can be placed towards the end of the page or each individual sections of the page. The footer tag can also take in lot of information just like header tag but might be less useful for SEOs.
